Shocking interview tonight by him , Just reeling of the same sound bites and never looked at the camera.

Never trust someone who doesn't look you in the eye .

He will be gone before the next international break imo ,can see this form continuing a while yet. The Blackburn fans have now had enough with the manager.

That was Jordan Rhodes in his Tony Mowbray fancy dress costume. He fooled you didn't he? He almost got me too.

A very inconsistent manager is Mowbray. His teams often seem to start the season in decent form but then have a dip in the new year. The same thing happened with us.

That interview doesn't sound very promising if he's talking like that about leaving the club. I had no idea the fans weren't happy with him if that is true. They were goal machines for a long part of the season but I guess did concede a lot too, but generally, I thought they were doing alright and happy to stick with Mogga and carry on. It is right to say his teams always seem to start seasons well then just go off the boil halfway through.

If the fans are expecting quicker progress and owners too then I guess he could be on his way soon, certainly if that interview is anything to go by. Hope he doesn't get fired though, have a lot of respect for the man. If he does go, they have a couple of players I wouldn't mind here though I've no doubt the Blackburn owners won't be listening to a single offer for any :ROFLMAO:

I regret in my first post it may sound as if I took his answers too literally but I didn't .. was just a bit concerned if it is true that fans are getting on his back and who knows what their owners want. But his answers were an honest response to what happens if people do want him out, hopefully, they don't but he would definitely like to see some of the progress they've made with certain players, etc, under his work continue no doubt about it. I just hope there isn't a chance he was as frank as he was due to him expecting to leave the club.

Disagree. Good interview, looked the interviewer in the eye, |Direct answers to some leading questions, can see the hurt, trying to develop a young, new team, Gave indications that if people want him out then so be it but hope next person continues his work.... Like Mogga, got a poor rub when here , maybe now too old school
He did look resigned to being moved on. Would always have him back at Boro before he gets too old.

I'm not overly sure what Blackburn fans expect? He's got a small budget and wage structure compered to many clubs.

I would say he's done pretty well signings wise (he paid roughly 2.3 Mil for Dack and Armstrong... Boro take note on cheap forwards). He's also been without Dack for ages.

I would call them an average middle of the road champo club (a bit like PNE). They have the odd flirt with the playoffs and never look like going down.

You look at the squad he has and other than the forwards its pretty poor. I doubt many would get in our team other than the front 2.

I really enjoyed that interview, personally. You don't hear managers elaborate very much. No soundbites, just an honest reply to a question. I also think he spoke complete sense really, though I do think the thing about what working class people expect from their team is a bit overplayed to be honest. I think people want hard work and effort but they want the team to play some football. There's a reason everybody loves Juninho, Ripley, Slaven, Armstrong, Viduka etc. People want to enjoy watching good players play and score goals. Effort and hard work are the basics and are, or should be, a pre-requisite.

Back at Boro? Everywhere he goes the team starts off doing really well, then the new year comes and his team’s play like they don't know each other. Will never forget his 2 full seasons with us. 11/12: 9 points clear of 7th on 31st December, missed out of the playoffs by 5 points in the end i think. 12/13: 10 points clear of 7th on the 31st December, wins 2 games in 23 games and we only confirm our championship status for the next season on the penultimate game of the season against Charlton (and we were 2-0 down in that one). He’s done similar at Coventry and now with Blackburn

WTF are you talking about? He was absolutely spot on. Honest appraisal of where they are and what’s going on at Blackburn and the nail on the head regarding the teams that get promoted. I said when Pulis was here you can’t hope to “spawn” your way to the PL. Don’t get me wrong I’d love if we could because I think the club could desperately do with two hundred million quid but it’s our early season football that will do that not hoof ball.
Also as the interviewer clearly said they know each other well it blows the rest of bulls**t out of the water!

Is he meant to look at the camera when somebody is stood in front of him inverviewing him like?

totally stupid OP.

There is hardly any difference in that interview there to what warnock says after we get beat too.

What mogga does get spot on was his part about the teams that go up out of this league and them playing possession based football - for those who go up and stay up I'd say he's bang on. That is what worries me slightly with the way we're going at the moment, its a bit lets give this a go and hope for the best - you might scrape into the play offs and then its down to luck really, but the chances of that being sustainable are non-existent. Warnock seems to have short shrift for that kind of talk and I wonder if that is why he struggles to keep teams in the prem once he's got them up.

Anybody else think Mogga would have potential to be an excellent director of football? Thought this even when he was our manager, he does some shrude recruitment, develops young players and likes to play football. If boro did go down that road (which they never will, I'm resigned to that) he'd be a perfect candidate.

I think similar frustrations as when he was here with the very good starts to seasons, looking genuine contenders then just falling away rapidly. The wheels haven't completely fallen off to the extent they did in his last year with us yet.

He hasn't done it all on a shoe string at Blackburn, they have splashed some cash. They've been poor for weeks, still managed to beat us of course.

I thoroughly enjoyed his interview, he spoke with honesty and integrity. He barely had a budget here and he was hounded out by the fans after the Barnsley performance (which was horrible to witness). I think a lot of team's form has dropped in the second half of the season, us included, and if half the teams' form has dropped off then that means the other teams in and around you automatically look better and do better. The interviewer alluded to injuries and it made me think of how one or two injuries we've had has caused our season to stumble, perhaps there are similarities between ourselves and them. He also has very little money to work with there. I'd like to see him work with a club where there is money as he does have an eye for a good player.
