They where not happy when he was appointed and as soon as their league form suffered any dip they where on at him. Bloke got a newly promoted team to the play offs, absolutely no reason he should be sacked but he is unfortunately one of those appointments where he they are just waiting for the slip up.

Either way he has done his CV no harm and will walk into another job.

It was madness when Blackburn didn't renew his contract, he showed Blackburn the error of their way by taking a newly promoted club into the playoffs (above Blackburn) on a tighter budget and now the Mackems want right of him???

football is crazy or at least at a lot of clubs. thank goodness for Steve Gibson. he might not have the cash of a crazy foreign owner to throw around, but at least he knows what he's doing.
