Tonight’s Champions League Games

Chelsea 0-2 Bayern

Napoli 1-3 Barca (only giving them as many as 3 as Braithwaite can’t play)

I love to watch Barca in full flow, they remind me of the heady days of Uncle Tony’s mighty Boro when they click :ROFLMAO:

Same , I would be lying if I said they weren’t a bit of a second team of mine. One of the best experiences I’ve had watching them live at Nou camp and I also try and watch them as much as I can on Tele, Messi is just so good you have to watch them as much as poss!

Braithwaite must think he’s in some sort of dream world just now, one minute your training with Gestede then with Lionel Messi. Lucky snakey ****

Yes going to the Nou Camp to watch them is on my bucket list, must have been awesome. Messi is just footballing perfection. MB must be just about the luckiest footballer ever to get a gig at the Nou Camp, in recent times anyway. He must feel like Charlie Bucket at Willy Wonka’s right now, which makes it even harder to stomach

Barca are generally rubbish away from home in the CL in recent years. I think Messi has like 4 goals in his last 20 away CL games which sums up their form when they rely on him so much. Napoli starting to play a bit better than they were so it will probably be a bit closer than people think. I hate Barca btw. Thought their games were dull a few years ago when they were blowing everyone away as they just seem to keep possession for the sake of it and it wasn't much fun to watch such one sided games. Now they are just dull in general and would be very workmen like without Messi. Also act shockingly as a club considering their motto. Shocking play acting too.

Bayern is a difficult one to pick. They seem to be up and down. If they are top of their game they could blow Chelsea away. Otherwise Chelsea could snatch a draw. Bayern will probably go through comfortably over the 2 legs but I hope I'm wrong as I'd like to see the English teams progress and at the moment we could even see all 4 crash out.

:LOL::LOL:
Yeah you should definetly do it if you get chance! It’s certainly something I will look back on fondly in years to come

My 1st ever CL post but new forum & all that, I don't think I've watched more than 10 minutes of any European compatitions since Boro lost in the final & TBH I don't think I watched much before

Looking forward to watching the Barça game, expecting a pretty cagey match and hoping for a 0-1, I've not seen Napoli this season though so no idea what to expect from them.

They haven’t had best season in all honesty but still a really tough game. I think second leg will be more comfortable than tonight

I enjoy CL much more than the Premier League, particularly the final 16. There are often some terrific games which show how football can be played at its very best.

Strangely I fancy Chelsea to win tonight, not sure why just do.
Unfortunately I don't have similar vibes for tomorrow's game

The result for Barça was a positive one but the game was poor as were Barça and Pique’s injury and Busquets suspension adds to that. They are on borrowed time in this CL and wouldn’t be surprised to see them go out in the 2nd leg, you can’t have any kind of success at that level with only 15 senior players including the one who can’t play in the CL. It’s absolutely mental that the planning has been so bad that it’s got to this point.

Agree regards watching Champions League, other than Boro it's probably the only "form" of the game which I watch regularly. Pleased with the Chelsea result last night but watched Barca. Thought Napoli looked great, incredibly well drilled by Gattuso. With Busquets and Vidal out in the return (two of Barca's best players without the ball) there could be something there for Napoli in the return leg.

Yes I’ve noticed over the last few seasons there’s a minority on this board who claim to hate the Champions League, no idea why other than it being similar to bragging about not using social media and the likes!
CL knockout stage is the highlight of the football season for me, it throws up easily the best matches of the season, there’s no Premier League fixture that compares to a high stakes CL game.

Love it me. It’s quality

I enjoy watching the CL knockouts.

Why wouldn't anyone want to see the best play the best.

It's wide open after that Liverpool result.

Before that first leg I had Liverpool nailed on to reach the final as over two legs they are the hardest team to beat, but the lack of away goal in Madrid definitely sets up a cracking 2nd leg tie.

Bayern have looked devastating at times. Away to Spurs & Chelsea they have looked absolutely incredible, but then again Spurs & Chelsea are very poor this season compared to previous seasons....so let's see how Bayern will cope against Real, Man City, Juve or Liverpool (if they end up playing one of them).

Maybe the Bundesliga is the strongest league this season? So far, every German side in Europe (Champions League & Europa League) have won all their knockout games!

Can see Real Madrid v Man City tonight being a goalfest!

And we have to instead go watch Leeds potentially destroy us:cry::cry:
