Just watched the boxing. I thought GGG looked in fantastic shape on the scales yesterday. Whilst he won today it seemed like he was getting hurt to the body and also his ability to keep up a sustained attack had diminished ( needing a breather between attacks)

Whilst he previously beat Canello in most peoples opinion I think the current version of Canello stops a forty year old triple g.

Was talking to my brother yesterday who was a big fan of Canello and we were on opposite sides for their first fight, he was less than gracious about the draw but Canello won the second without a doubt.

I basically said what you have up there - GGG is a tremendous fighter, but his age is against him, his speed is not quite there nor his punching as sharp, and his stamina is fading. All that will lead to some of the more punishing shots getting through and I think we saw that last night (well me on a download)

I cannot see anything but a Canello win and probably by stoppage - his star is still in the ascendancy and his appetite for boxing is ravenous. He has a big test against Bivol who is not to be sniffed at as a boxer or puncher and it'll be interesting to see how he copes with a decent light heavyweight.

Canelo caught GGG at the right time. One at their peak, one at the other side. I wish the first fight took place at least 2 years earlier but boxing has done this a lot fairly recently unfortunately. Crawford Spence is going to be another big prime v prime miss.
