Time up for Lampard?

This was taken from It's a Grand Old Team forum and was from November 22. I wonder if the other is Wilder?

Dyche is the one they should go for, but I wouldn't be surprised for them to do something dumb like give it to Rooney.

Relegation would be ruinous to the. They've run up 372m of losses in the last 3 seasons alone, with the new stadium due to come on line next season, the running costs and debt to service it's building would be enormous.

They're also lumbered with some poor players on huge contracts, and I don't think they've got many assets that you would class as highly desired that would fetch big fees.

Everton v Southampton on 14th Jan.
Southampton have won 1 away and lost 4
Everton have won 1 at home and lost 4.
Thats going to be like two drunks having a scrap(n)

Poch wont go there 🤣 he turned down villa for being too sh1t who are in a far better state than Everton.

Because what experience or any kind of evidence to the contrary is available to suggest a Rooney appointment would be nothing short of a disaster ?
He actually did a good at derby. Yes took them down but was able to get his team to perform in rough circumstances. This almost feels the same in some respects.

What points to it being a disaster

I mean weren’t you anti carrick and said this wasn’t a time for a rookie?

That derby side bad no pressure on it. Relegation was accepted at the start of the season. Putting a few good wins together is a bit easier when the fans have accepted your fate.

This Everton side will be under a LOT of pressure. It’s a totally different job imho. Not least because his relationship with Evertonians is sketchy at best.

Didn’t he do rubbish at DC Utd too?
