Time to say goodbye to Woodgate.

Has to go but this is Gibson’s fault. Total lack of leadership and really poor communication with the fans.
Not poor communication let’s not sugar coat this there is no communication from gibson to the fans none not even the token st renewal letter anymore.

Give the lad a chance I say - Gibson has chucked him under the bus, he binned Aitor too soon remember . Let’s give him a couple of seasons to learn the ropes. It’s a shame he hasn’t an old hand as number two to fall back on

🐔

Did he bin aitor too soon? He went on to get sacked by another champo club so hasn’t set the world alight since leaving, if anything imo we held onto aitor too long out of emotional attachment

No it’s an absolute disgrace that a former prem league has a back room staff with zero experience of top flight management.
None.

if you can tell me what Robbie Keane does id love to know

Just seen him interviewed on Quest. He thinks this could end up in a relegation fight. You don't say 😳

No, stay with what you have got, don't change horses mid race.

Woody is less than 40 games in to his managerial career, give the lad a chance and dare I say it. a little respect.
We’re not a charity. Respect is earned!!

What has woodgate ever done to warrant respect, he comes across as what he is - a thug with no morals who was a good centre half but showed nothing that ever gave anyone confidence he would be a succesful manager. If he hadn’t been born with a TS postcode he would never have been considered for the job, Gibson foolishly thought he would be embraced as one of our own - maybe he was right as he sacked others who never got us in this sort of predicament.

Wilf, I admire your Dunkirk spirit approach, but our battles in the near future might be fought on the beaches of Blackpool, Southend, Plymouth and Grimsby if we aren't careful.

I have followed them for 58 yrs and this is the first time I have thought sacking the manager is the right thing. The last 3 results ha e been a disgrace and left us in a really scary position.

I'm not sure what's going on. Boro were dreadful today. Woodgate got the job based on a style of football that has been abandoned. Monk was sacked for exactly the same.

Monk was apparently sacked because he asked for leave, lied about why he wanted it and spoke to Swansea. Gibson apparently felt he had no choice.

Like many others, I thought he was the wrong man for the job from the outset, for a number if reasons. Then Christmas came and I realised I might have been wrong and persuaded myself he deserves a chance.

I think I was right all along. He has to go.

My money is on George
I don't know either of them personally, but George and Woody appear to be chalk and cheese and I know which one would seem to be more like managerial material. Not that I am advocating giving him the job.
