He did seem to like it here. Put in a couple of reasonable cup performances in his 1st stint, after initially looking like a liability. I cannot understand why Woodgate re-signed him though.

Good luck to him anyway.

He was here to play second - goalie.
There are many goalkeepers who are stand - ins when the mainstay is injured or unavailable.
Pat Jennings, Wallington, Schwartz, Platt, Shilton, Clements, Given, Randolph all had second goalies - but how many know who they were?
Its not because they arent up to the mark.
Good luck to the lad(y)

'So many memories'?!!

However, he does seem a genuine guy so can't think badly of him at all. Good luck on your next journey Senor...

He will have many memories. He’s been here years and just because he hasn’t been a starter wont mean he hasn’t trained hard, played when needed and bonded with players and fans etc

I'll always remember during his first spell here, when he wasn't in the side, he'd always come over to the east stand perimiter to give autographs & pose for pictures for young fans during the substitutes half-time warm-up sessions.
A thoroughly decent human being who I wish nothing but the best for the rest of his career.

I must admit, while he obviously didn't play much and had a couple of shockers - you can tell he genuinely loved the club, and his time here. I'll remember him fondly for that.

Showed more passion for the club than about 98% of our signings over the last decade.

Western Sydney will be a good home for him. He joins veteran Ex Boro utility player Rhys Williams who has just signed for them alongside ex Phoenix striker Tomer Hemed.
