its a nightmare scenario, i seem to read different ones diffetent times of the day depending on my mood.
anyone else do it?

The exact opposite ! - can't even think about what I'm going to read next until I've finished he current one .....

.... and I only ever read a book at night, in bed

I like one book at a time but if there is a book lined up thst I really fancy reading I end up skim reading the one I am currently on.

Wish I could do that jam, I started reading a book ' The history of Britain', since this pandemic I just can't concentrate enough to read

I only ever have one on the go: if I’m really into it, I’ll finish it in a day. So I’ve done that loads recently. Rarely start one and then don’t finish it either.

@Erimus74 Understandable mate. Try 'Round Ireland With A Fridge'. It's just a fun adventure and he meets a Boro fan along the way. utb

I got 7 books from the library before it closed and I am now on my last one, "Ultimatum "by Frank Gardner. I've also borrowed for 59p, "Catch me when I fall " by Nicci French (a twosome) from the local Bowling Club and am going to reread my favourite John Grisham , The Broker.
I'm scanning Harry Glasper's "Middlesbrough A Complete Record" too. Terrific.

Lottowyn, my name is in the back of the book, when published in 1988, if you sent off a cheque as payment he will include your name in the book & send it off to you
I found there are quite a few errors in both books, which given all the data he's compiled is understandable, I love looking through that book which is always next to my PC for reference, I did offer my services as a proof reader next Boro book he does, enjoy 👍

I've only just this week this sent a cheque to an author, while not including your name in the book.he is writing a personal message in it for me. He asked for some background info which I found hard, and ended up getting told off for writing too little. He proceeded to give me some questions to go at,and we ended up having a bit back n forth banter, quite unexpected.

I'm exactly the same. Once I'm invested in a boom, I have to finish it. A good book, I can fly through. Really only enjoy non fiction too and go through phases of a particular area so one book will peak an interest in something from it that I then read other books on.

Tend to have two or three on the go, something serious, something sporty and something fun at the moment.

Adam Hochschild - King Leopold’s Ghost.
Ed Hotaling - Wink: The Story of Jimmy Winkfield
Jon Ronson - The Elephant In The Room.

First one is about Belgian colonialism in the Congo Free State, second one is about the last black jockey to win the Kentucky Derby and his extraordinary life in Europe thereafter and the last one about the Trump election campaign.

I hope the lockdown is over soon or you're going to have some pretty hefty late fees to pay. 😁
To be honest I'm struggling to keep up with one at the minute. Wolf Hall. Every single person in the middle ages seems to be called Thomas.

The Jimmy Winkfield is one that will go on the ever growing list, cheers. These threads are a blessing and a curse in a sense,it's hard to keep up with books you were going to read anyway.
