Those who have not had the vaccine.

Would it change your mind if you cannot get access to games at the Boro or nightclubs even holidays if you don't have it?.

Took until May to be offered my first and still got another 3 weeks until the next appt for my second jab. So, with the two week wait after that, I'd not be able to attend the Bristol or QPR game.

And I'm in my 30s, so will be even longer for younger people.

I tested positive this week, but I did three lateral flow tests all showing negative, I took myself down for a pcr test to make sure because of a new cough but even the lateral flow test on that same morning give me a false negative.

You didn't have to wait to be offered it. You could have booked as soon as your age cohort was opened up. Also not sure where you have go the idea there are not enough supplies from?

PCR tests are a lot more accurate in terms of positives instead of false negatives.

I think the LFT is only a useful indicator if it shows positive as there's a low false positive rate (<5%) as opposed to a false negative rate of ~30%.

Had a discussion this evening with the wife who is refusing to get vaccinated, because she's scared shitless she'll have some sort of terrible reaction. I'm double jabbed, and I'm scared to death she's going to catch it and have really bad symptoms. To her, thats the lesser of two evils. She's agreed to rethink it next Spring, but until then, she's running the gauntlet of infection.

Breaks my heart, but nothing I can do except hope. I despise her cousin who is vehemently anti-vax and a conspiracy nut and who I believe has put some of these thoughts in my wife's head.

I did that, booked on the day it was opened up - but there are only a certain number of slots and I had to wait til late May to get it.

And they only offered me a slot in August for my second jab, even after I cancelled and rebooked it was only a few days earlier.

Look at the vaccination rate - it's slowed to a trickle. They messed up the deal with Israel to get more vaccines in quickly as well. Big bet on AZ and then not offering it to under 40s the issue.

Thats a tough corner you're in. You probably can't even see the family GP for a chat I bet.

When was the last time you tried to rebook?

It's down to 8 weeks instead of 12 now.

I got my first jab on the 10th of June, originally my second was due on the 31st of August but I was able to rebook it as early as the 7th last week.

You can go to the walk in North Ormesby.
No queues whatsoever 👍
This. I went on Thursday after seeing the link on here. No appointment, no queue, I was just asked whether it was my first or second jab. Choice of Pfizer and Astrazenica as well - take your pick. They like you to sit for 15 minutes afterwards to make sure you have no immediate reaction, but even with that I was in and out in 20 minutes.

My friend who is a NHS Radiographer was feeling unwell. So over a couple of days she took two Lateral Flow Tests and tested negative both times. As she was still feeling unwell but due back to the hospital she phoned her point of contact and was told to book herself in for PCR test as the NHS does not recognise Lateral Flow test results as they are so inaccurate. They are just another scam being used by this horrible Government to help speed up the opening up process. FFS you don't even have to take the test. Just enter the serial number and click negative. They are a sham.

Why are the number getting first and second jabs so low at the moment. We were doing over 500000 at one point and although it went up to 424000 yesterday the rates recently have been poor.

Limits on supply, and we've restricted which vaccines we are using on most new people now.

I'm sure we'd be doing more if AZ was still being used for under 40s.

That and there are fewer willing people to vaccinate, so the numbers are bound to taper off.
87.9% of adults have had a first dose now, so we're nearly there.

There'll be a solid block of morons who'll refuse to be vaccinated whatever happens.

My second vaccine wasn't to be until the 28th July, went on last Friday and got an appointment at Darlington arena for yesterday.

There's also walk ups in Stockton this week at Wellington Square between 2pm-6pm from Wednesday 21st July to 24th July, second doses of Pfizer for those who had first dose at least 8 weeks ago.

That's assuming you are local like.
