Are we still in for him? been a bit of a strange one said he was due to join a week or so ago and heard nothing since, Man City got a replacement in a week ago.

Looks like he's still in America from his social media, he might have a prolonged holiday.

Though he wasn't on international duty with USA, and he barely played last season, so I'm not entirely sure why he's still away.

I'm not sure why clubs are waiting so long to announce deals. Gabriel Jesus signed for Arsenal at the start of last week but it was only announced today. Same with Kalvin Phillips at Man City.

Unproven?:ROFLMAO:

A full season in the Bundesliga plus numerous cup and champions league appearances for Man City. Not sure how much more experienced you can expect any of our signings to be

I personally dont want us signing players who haven't at least got a CL winners medal (not runners up, they'll have a losing mentality) and they have to have being nominated for the Balloon d'Or at least twice.

Oh and they have to be born within an hours drive of Teesside, so they have a sense of local pride.

Get on with it Bausor, what are you doing sat on your hands....

If age isn't an issue... Ross Turnbull fits a lot of your criteria.

I mean if he's good enough for Pep, who by the way didn't want him to go, to play in his cup finals and be his trusted deputy then he is 100% good enough for me.

He has PL interest but city don't want to sell, the man wants to play Football and Pep raved about Wilder so it's the perfect fit.

It comes to something when people ain't happy with the City No2 who's the first choice for his country. I'm not sure about the 'unproven'.

I mean he's an international and good enough for City to buy him on the back of his performances in Germany.

Just remember we had Lumley signed on a free as QPRs No2. I think it's safe to say a City No2 will be a massive upgrade 😉

Yes that sounds just like our PR dept.
City announced Phillips today with the cups of tea, with names of other Yorkshire lads who play for them it isn't difficult to come up with something like that? Its 4th July, surely to **** if we are after this lad, and its close to being done now, the club will be saying to his agent or perhaps to the lad that we want this doing today so we can announce him under a stars and stripes etc

I was being sarcastic btw as they prob don’t even know it’s the 4th July.

Not known for our forward planning and marketing are we.

The away strip saga being a case in point.
Yeah i know mate, i agree 100%.
Its our lot down to a tee that we'll probably announce the lad tomorrow, totally missing the boat, and just have the standard new signing graphic

Yeah, and that'll mean he'll let in 10 goals a game as opposed to 1 if we announced it today.

I'd rather we just agreed whatever him and City want, just so we can unveil him in front of a stars and stripes banner - forget about contracts and the like, we just want to see a flag.

No, but it would just be cooler to see him in some proper daft Yankee 4th july top gun stars and stripes announcement, instead of the boring red WELCOME TO BORO graphic, cheer up you it was just a comment about how we only ever announce players in quite dull ways like Lenihan had to stand on the pitch on his own while a drone flew over, away.
