This feels like something you’d see in the developing nations

This is the first time you have admitted to me that YOU WERE WRONG and that YOUR MISTAKE lead us to Brexit.

As for me, I never voted Tory or for Brexit, I have explained this to you in the past, but you only take in what you want to.
Oh thats because I admitted I was wrong to vote Tory. I didn't admit that was what led to brexit. Given that was decided 4 years earlier!! I think you need a lesson in cause and effect.

The second paragraph is interesting. You claim not to have voted for brexit yet you happily made jokes about food shortages due to brexit. Wow. That's even worse when you think about it. What is wrong with you?

So, you voted Tory after you knew they had gone down the Brexit route and you still have the gall to come on here and preach to others.

That’s made my day. 🤣🤣🤣

I've already explained this to you. I know you're just ignoring it now but there it is.
So here's the thing, IF and its a big if, you didn't vote for Brexit. Yet you're haply to defend it now, and you want to deflect from it causing food shortgaes the question should be what are you motives? What would make someone act the way you do?

I read this the other day and thought of you immediately.

Snobbery is a very British vice - but according to the author of a new book it is no longer about looking down on people for having the wrong accent or manners.
The "new snobbery" is a form of condescension practised by university-educated "progressives" - directed at people they consider ignorant and bigoted, David Skelton argues.

It's hardly new. George Orwell was talking about this kind of thing with the Bloomsbury set in the 30s and 40s.

It's this still rumbling on. There are localised shortages of some items, there are no general food shortages and nobody is starving because of empty supermarket shelves.

Whatsmore the empty shelves are not a result of our relationship with the EU.

The supply chain has been under threat for years.

This has all been said previously and its a fact.

You lost all credibility when you made your comment on voting conservative after Brexit and have the gall to preach to others.

And you speak of turkey’s voting for Christmas.

So, here's my thing. I've explained that to you and I know you're ignoring why I voted for the Tories and that's fine, you need to win your internets.

What I don't get is you claim not to have voted for Brexit. Yet you jump on this thread, and others I'm involved in defending it.

Which can only mean you're lying about voting brexit. If not, what is your motivation for defending it on threads? What is all that about?

Sorry, unlike you, I have nothing to lie about. You haven’t explained why you voted Tory, you only stated that you did and after the Brexit vote - this really makes me smile.

Regarding me defending Brexit, could I be playing Devils Advocate and showing you an alternative side to the argument. Brexit, for all its faults, and they are many, isn’t at fault of everything and the pandemic’s played a part.

Now the country is starting to re-open, we will see it’s true impact.

I’m off to Dax now and won’t be on line again until later.

I have explained it actually. Numerous times now. I guess it's easier for you to just ignore that.

I think you probably need to get into your head that I'm not saying brexit is entirely at fault for certain things. This for example. It is CERTAINLY a factor in them though. In which case it's made a bad problem worse so therefore is still an idiotic and disastrous thing. Your comment about the country opening up is an enlightening one. The brexit cult have been given carte blanche to use COVID to hide from all the brexit issues. Which shows how far we have fallen. From all the talk of sunlit uplands to FINALLY admitting there is a problem, just now desperately trying to find something else to blame it on.

Total collapse of the supply chain in 2-3 weeks from the 25th July. I'll put it in my diary to see what has happened by 15th August. Scaremongering nonsense which of course the OP will be tugging himself off about. Yes, there's an issue with drivers. Total collapse of supply chain? Let's see
It's the 16th August Artie. Did the prophecy of doom come to pass?

I am not sure if things have started to improve a bit but the story has fallen from the front pages in the last week or so and the army haven't been drafted in yet.

I believe double vaxxed people from this week on don't need to isolate so that will get drivers back to work.

I love to be lectured on snobbery by Conservative party activists

Well remembered. I cant say that the supply chain has collapsed or even slightly faltered in any way so as I would notice in recent weeks

I think the story may have been a little bit of an exaggeration

I’ve finally got a Brexit good news story for you, well me really.

On our way to Dax and I over took a tractor that had a mountain of traffic behind it. On over taking it I was immediately flashed and thought that is me getting points and a fine.

I’ve just looked it up and if I am reading it right, the UK and EU no longer share driver details due to the Brexit departure and do not send fines through the post. Fines can be issued on the roadside.

Remaining - A million reasons.
Brexit - one. 😜👍

Interesting morality tail isn't it. One of the brexit benefits is our roads are less safe.

Imagine the struggle for these poor people.... I mean if Sainsburys are low you only have Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Co-Op, Amazon that might just have Kitties food in stock....... very 3rd world.
