22nd January Sunderland arrived at Ayresome Park to face the mighty Boro, who were in good spirits after knocking out 1st divison giants Man City out of the FAC 1-0 courtecy of a big John strike, Big John was again on target, scoring both goals & his 9th & 10th of the season to date as the Boro ran out 2-0 winners & 3 home wins on the bounce
