Another classic FAC time when Arsenal arrived at AP full of hope to progress to the 5th round, Arsenal were thumped 4 days previous Tuesday night match when the mighty Boro won 3-0 with Peter Brine scoring within 30 seconds

This game was, IMHO, a game where we seen why big Jack broke our transfer record when paying Liverpool £72k for his services

This game is also remembered for Malcolm Mcdonald claiming after the mid weeks thumping that a different Arsenal woukd turn up, which wasn't the case

Boro won 4-1 with David Mills grabbing his 2nd Boro hat trick of his career after notching 3 at home to Villa on boxing day 76

Great game, great performance and great result.

But .... there was hell on if I recall, was this the game where the photo appeared of an Arsenal fan with a dart sticking out of his eye.
 
One of my favourite games ever Erimus74. I worked with a big Arsenal fan who was giving it large about supermac, Brady, Stapleton, Rimmer etc what a time I had of it. :love: We didn’t even have a full strength team out in those games imho :cool:
 
Millsy. What an attacking midfielder he was. In the Colin Bell mould. Mills Hickton Foggon Armstrong and Souness. What an attacking threat.

Yes battling started off in the holgate, the police moved em out & onto the south terracec
