The 1st ever PL season seen the mighty Boro travel to White Hart Lane to face Spurs
On our travels the Boro had lost away to Coventry & Southampton, drew at QPR & won at Man City

Mark Proctor, starting & Curtis Fleming No12 (sub) were named on the teamsheet for the 1st time that season, with Stephen Pears making his 2nd start of the season

Boro went in to a 2-0 half time lead when Robbie Mustoe put us 1-0 up, scoring his 1st goal of the season & Paul Wilkinson adding a second when he doubled the score with his 6th of the campaigne

Unfortunatly Spurs came out fighting in the 2nd half, pulling a goal back & Boro on the back foot, their young start came on the field, Nick Barmby scoring their equaliser & his 1st ever 1st team goal

11 games played, 3 defeats, not a bad start to our 1st season in the top flight
