As he runs up to take a penalty at the holgate end in the game against Bristol Rovers, he shoots, puts the ball wide of the net & goes down in agony, clutching his knee

Soon after the stretcher is brought on & sadly Brian Laws season is finished at that monent

Alan Kernaghan was brought on as his replacement

Boro pegged away & their persistence was rewarded with a goal from Stuart Ripley when Colin Cooper got to the byline (I still expect a goal kick to be awarded) puts the ball across for Stuart Ripley to score & double his Boro career goals to date

This game seen Paul Kerr play his 3rd game, though his home league debut

I always thought it must have been connected to when he got injured against Preston in the cup a few weeks earlier

I was at the Bristol Rovers game - was gutted he was out for the season

Sounds like he feels Bruce treated him badly once he was coming to the end of his contract

He was successful at Forest under Cloughie - and his stories about Clough in his autobiography are very entertaining
