On the 10th October, Bernie Slaven scored his 1st Boro league hattrick away to Huddersfield & his 2nd Boro HT so far, his 1st hattrick we knocked out Blackpool in the FAC 1st round almost 12 months earlier
It was our 29th away HT & 119th in total since 1899

Boro won the Huddersfield fixture 4-1, our 3rd away win of the season, with Brian Laws scoring the 4th goal on his return to his former club & his 1st game back after suffering knee ligaments injury at home to Bristol Rovers, when taking a penalty the previous season last February

If we had that side now we'd waltz this "Championship ", but then perhaps I'm stating the obvious.
I remember that Laws pen, possibly the worst ever, worse than our "2 footers", Assombalonga's "over the stand effort " and Rashford's calamity?

Brian Laws missed the remainder of the season when the Boro successfully won promotion from the third division
The following season, 10 months after the injury, he came on as a late sub away to one of his former clubs Huddersfield & with the Boro winning 3-1, scored the 4th goal
