29th October Flashback

Up to this point, the mighty Boro have played 11 games, 5 at home with the one solitary home win & 2 on the road, we last tasted victory on the 10th September away to Barnsley, even further for our only home win

With no wins since the win at Barnsley the following 7 fixtures were, 2 draws followed by 5 defeats on the bounce, not going well for Malcolm Allison as we prepare for our 12th game of the season at home to Shrewsbury Town

Big Mal made 2 changes from our last game v Man City away, he brought Paul Ward back in to the team after missing his only game of the season v Man City, with home debutant, Andy Crawford, a recent signing from Cardiff City, making his 2nd appearence
Mick Kennedy made a return after an absence of 5 games, I loved Mick Kennedys aggression in our team

Andy Crawford our 1st signing of the season, was registerred No554 when he played the previous week

An attendance of 6,372 including erimus & erimus senior in the chicken run, seen the Boro brush aside Shrewsbury Town 4-0 with goals coming from from Heine Otto, his 3rd goal of the season, Paul Wards 1st & only Boro goal & a brace from Dave Currie taking his goals of the campaigne so far to 8

One more week for a future Boro 1986 legend to sign
