Even though we won 2-1 at Swnasea & with a game to go could catch the teams above us points wise the fixtures to be played meant we couldnt possibly catch

David Currie signed from Stockton Town was to be given his 1st chance in the football league when Bobby Murdoch gave him the No12 shirt

During the game Dave Currie was brought on to replace Dave Thomas , who had been a good signing for the Boro, we probably played our best spell of the season since his signing but our awful 1st half of the season meant we had too much to catch up

Goals by the iconic Heine Otto & a Stanley OG meant we finished our away campaigne on a win
