Against France in Paris in a 4-0 defeat

It was Terry Cochranes, one time Boro record signing, penultimate NI appearence, he played a total of 19 times, 7 as substitute

Jim Platt, my favourite & one of the best Boro GK's, won one more cap than Terry, was in the middle of his run

Two of Jim's 20 caps were as a used sub

They played 6 together for their country in the same match

Jim Platt also made his NI international debut this day 1976 against Israel in Tel Aviv in a 1-1

He was named on the bench for the game, one of 2 sub appearences of his 20

I thought Willie Whigham was excellent. A good penalty saver if I remember rightly.Jim Platt was definately the best though.

Crossley was ok but he only played 23 games for us so I can't really put him in the same bracket as the others.

Schwarzer and Platt played most of their careers in the top flight and were both Internationals.
I also liked Kelham O'Hanlon, not everyones favourite, I think he was unlucky in that he played behind such an awful defence, saying that when Stephen Pears made his debut Kelham must have thought oh noooooooo

Yeah I agree, i put him as ‘best of the rest’ of the permanent keepers - he was a very good keeper though and I guess unfortunate for him that Schwarzer was ahead of him

Yeah although I probably only saw Crossley play live for us about a dozen times.
I thought Randolph was good he played 106 times for us so I feel qualified to give an opinion. It was only in the Championship of course.
