Was at the abandoned game, I think it was the last time I ever went to a match with my dad, stood in the Holgate. Don't think I was at the second one, I'd have (probably) been away at University and it was a bit of a drag (and expense) doing a home visit just for a weekend. Our year in those days didn't start until the 2nd week of October so that's why I could get to game 1.

Inflation calculator says 60p in 1974 equates to £5.76 in 2020.

So why the hell are we being charged £30?

I remember both matches, I think we were winning 1 - 0 when the lights failed but may be wrong.

Weren‘t they brand new floodlights as well for getting into the First Division? Not that that probably had anything to do with the power failure.

Classic old match ticket that as well E74 - Ayresome Park, Clive Road - it’s a bit like one of those old train tickets you see to stations in well known places that no longer exist.
