This day 1973 - My favourite season ever

27th October we had our 1st ever league victory at Millwall when a Malcolm Smith goal, for his 1st league of the season, was enoughh to take all points back to Teesside & cement our lead at the top of the divison

Boro's 4th win on their travels & one defeat in 14 games, only conceding 3 away from home & 2 of those were in one game

What a remarkable & unforgettable season

I was there stood nice and quiet stood on the big open terrace with two mates.It was the best season ever,it was a bit of a disappointment if we drew away rather than winning .
Don't remember much about the game except Gordon Hill played for Millwall that day and caused us a few problems.

What a season to have our first ST Erimus74. Just think, If only Walt Disney knew then what we all know now. I am sure he would have loved to have owned the worlds longest continuous rollercoaster ride

The best ever, the following season us probably my 2nd favourite, that's when we were on the brink of competing with the top teams but we failed to push on & never come close after that

Don’t set me off, Big Jack and £10K extra for David Cross would have provided a hatful of goals and we’d have become Champions imho (Other opinions are available, they’re just not as exciting)
