27th October we had our 1st ever league victory at Millwall when a Malcolm Smith goal, for his 1st league of the season, was enoughh to take all points back to Teesside & cement our lead at the top of the divison

Boro's 4th win on their travels & one defeat in 14 games, only conceding 3 away from home & 2 of those were in one game

What a remarkable & unforgettable season

Big Jacks team

John Craggs

I was there stood nice and quiet stood on the big open terrace with two mates. It was the best season ever,it was a bit of a disappointment if we drew away rather than winning .
Don't remember much about the game except Gordon Hill played for Millwall that day and caused us a few problems.

What a season to have our first ST Erimus74. Just think, If only Walt Disney knew then what we all know now. I am sure he would have loved to have owned the worlds longest continuous rollercoaster ride 😜

The best ever, the following season us probably my 2nd favourite, that's when we were on the brink of competing with the top teams but we failed to push on & never come close after that

Don’t set me off, Big Jack and £10K extra for David Cross would have provided a hatful of goals and we’d have become Champions imho😭 (Other opinions are available, they’re just not as exciting)
