Andy scored in a 2-0 home win over Chelsea, this was to be his final Boro goal & his penultimate game for the Boro, which, ironically, was the following week away to Chelsea

Andy had 2 spells at the Boro, 1915 scoring 5 goals in 9 games & 1921 to November 1923, when he scored an amazing 52 goals in 81 games

He was another prolific Boro goalscorer up there with the very best in our history, in his 1st full season in 1921 he scored 32 league goals in 35 appearences

His early career was interrupted by the First World War, during which his left hand & forearm were shattered by enemy fire at Arras.
He wore a glove to mask the withered hand & forearm for the rest of his life

He retuned back to the Boro where he became a prolific goalscorer, after playing his final Boro game away to Chelsea ( 24th November 1923) he was then transferred to the London club

At the end of the season both Boro & Chelsea were relegated from the 1st divison, the 1st time we were relegated in our history
Andy Wilson finished top goalscorer at both clubs, 8 in 13 games at the Boro & 6 goals for Chelsea

He became the 1st Boro player to leave us & return at a later date

As he signed for us twice I registered him No187 & 215
