My brother has also recommended Young Offenders so that will get a viewing hammering over the weekend

Very purile, but cleverly written as well. Based in Cork.

Definitely Zorro, some of it is quite gentle humour, but it's about the characters rather than funny one-liners. Mrs Brown's boys it is not

It's brilliant. I also enjoyed People Just Do Nothing which is another mockumentary style series about a Pirate Radio show.

A truly wonderful bit of television, written by and staring a brother and sister who had never done any tv before. It’s superb.

I love it, slow paced subtle humour. Reminds me a bit of The Detectorists, just that slow, low key story line that meanders along nicely.

Another mockumentary from quite a while ago but in the same vein as the aforementioned is Operation Good Guys. Again, very funny and daft, well worth a watch. Not sure that's available online but the DVDs are cheap enough on Amazon

Really enjoyed This Country, brother and sister play the lead roles and Kerry's read dad plays her dad in the show apparently
