This belittling of Chris Whitty

Pea brained **** wit trying to be clever and making himself look stupid.

What a p_iss stain on the trousers of humanity. Whitty is one of the good guys, who more often than not seem to be the target of bullies. In an ideal world he would have grabbed the lad's phone, smashed it off the floor then booted him right in the stones.

Allegedly, said scrotes mother was appalled and has taken away his X-box

I genuinely despair for what this country has become.

To be fair, some parents would have probably defended their little cherub, at least she's done something.

Edited:- I've actually just read her comments and she's a big an idiot as him. She's come out with this rubbish:-

‘He is really suffering, as are teenagers all over the country. They have nowhere to go, they can’t socialise like they used to, play football or any other sports,’

‘Their mental health has been badly affected and like other teenagers he is under a lot of stress. ‘He wants the Government to do something about it. I think that was the point he was trying to make to Mr Whitty but it came out all wrong.

Yeah, that's what it looked like he was saying when he repeatadly said "you're a liar".

I'd have done more than took away his x box I would march him down to anywhere that needs volunteers & get him signed up then after a few days ask him if he still thinks its all a lie.

As for Witty he's stuck between a rock & a hard place TBH he will be seeing the clusterf**k they are making of this whole pandemic but can only advise whether bozo & his clowns listen or act on that advice is a different matter.

It's all too easy to pillory anyone in the public eye, but to do so with Whitty only makes you look pretty damn stupid

It does still freak me out a bit that he doesn't blink though!
And you never actually see his legs move when he walks, he just glides.

I admire Chris Whitty, how he has handled the whole situation and remained dignified at times when many others would not, he has offered advice that at times has been ignored but he has still stood there to be accountable, he has been consistent when others have not, he has been scapegoated but remained the voice of sanity in a cacophony of madness, he has been questioned and vilified and now abused in the street and all for trying to do a difficult job in impossible times.

Excellent post.

I think it's always easier to speak at the truth, when political influence doesn't distort your view!
I like both Whitby and valance however, I’ve been disappointed at times where they have steered well clear of criticism of the government when clearly critical comment was necessary because our death rate is one of the worst per capita than any other country and that’s because the likes of Whitby and sage’s advice has been followed loosely which is why we still can’t go to watch our beloved boro

This government has failed on PPE, testing, test & trace and care homes management.
I think Whitby valance and Jon van tam could’ve called the government out on this more publicly
IMHO

Poor fella, no need in it, and something should be done to those spreading disinformation like the idiot filming.

It's clear to see Whitty has been trying to do his best, and he's extremely capable. Most of the blame that goes his way is from deniers (who are basically idiots) or those wrongly blaming him for the governments failings (also idiots).

I'm confident had we listened to his advice and listened to him earlier, we wouldn't be in as much of a mess and we wouldn't have people getting in his face. It's a bit ironic to blame him for something, as if he had been listened too these idiots would have more freedom. They're effectively getting in the face of the guy that's trying to help them the most.

I think they have had to rein in their own opinions for the sake of the greater good, in a volatile situation I think adding dissent to the mix would not have helped, I think they've been clear and tactical in letting the general public know when their advice has been ignored without totally undermining the Government.
