How is this a limit?

who the hell has 30 people they know and meet up with out doors and 2 house holds ( no number stated for meeting indoors for that matter), so what ‘science’ are we following then to come up with that bizarre figure and why do scotland wales and Northern Ireland have different numbers?

is dom planning a garden party we don’t know about

No wonder the figures are shooting up
again.

Guidance in England currently says two households can meet indoors. Outdoors up to six people from different households can meet - or up to 30 people from two households.

The largest number of people I encounter is when I'm at work and I can keep my distance easily.
I can also, hand on heart, say that I've not been in anyone's house or had anyone visit since lockdown started.
Yes it's been a bit rough at times, but with two shielded people to look after it isn't worth taking unnecessary risks in my book.
These increased numbers that you're "allowed" now are clearly being abused by some and as we head into the colder weather I very much doubt you'll see people limiting the number of gatherings indoors.

Interesting as this completely contradicts months of research by parkrun - which points to very low transmission out of doors which gave them confidence in announcing recommencement in late October. The research also showed where there could be transmission out of doors and so they were able to use this information to change the parkrun events to cut down on all face to face contacts etc.
Not sure where today's announcement leaves parkruns projected re-start though. Or returns to football. Or even more tests of spectators at sporting events.

I have just read the following..
"And Parkrun - which earlier this week announced it was to resume in England - is "unaffected" as it is an organised sport, its organisers said."
I presume we can still go to see non league football and that also this does not block the idea of a return to watch Boro in the EFL. Although it seems crazy the difference between 6 people meeting in a garden and potentially 6000 mingling on the way to a game. I suppose we would all have to stay within our pod/bubbles all the way to and from the Riverside.

It's not crazy Rob, it is perfectly easy to understand.
