You should give it a go, Rick Stanton ( one of the cave divers involved in the rescue) praised the film accuracy and the only thing he thought was inaccurate was the muddy waters ( which would have been pointless showing as it would mean no visibility of the under water shots)I’ve actually put off watching the film as the documentary of the story on Disney - The Rescue - is amazing and I can’t help but feel the film will just dramatise something that doesn’t need dramatising. The documentary account couldn’t be bettered by a film in my view.
Totally agree with this. The documentary is one of the most gripping films I've ever watchedI’ve actually put off watching the film as the documentary of the story on Disney - The Rescue - is amazing and I can’t help but feel the film will just dramatise something that doesn’t need dramatising. It’s amazing however the actual documentary is on Amazon prime and believe me, it’s even better!!!I watched it last night and although I knew the basic facts the storytelling was fantastic. It has to be one of the best films I have seen on a streaming platform .
If you enjoyed Apollo 13 ( also by Ron Howard) you will love this film.
I have seen the Documentary and you are correct it is fantastic but not sure if it is better as it is a different method of storytelling. I enjoyed them them both and they compliment each other, I think both the drama and the documentary can also work in isolation without detracting from the other. It’s amazing however the actual documentary is on Amazon prime and believe me, it’s even better!!!
Excellent movie. The thing that shocked me was the total number of people involved in the rescue, over 5000. How the locals pulled together, along with divers, medics etc. to rescue the boys was truly inspirationalGreat film on Amazon if anyone has it. About the rescue of the 13 boys trapped in the cave In Thailand and how they were rescued. Amazing story, and a gripping film, those divers are real heroes.
A few things surprised me! The distances, the time taken, the amount of water.. claustrophobic viewing. The work of those divers was absolutely epic! and the manner in which they brought the kids out!! not sure what I thought was going to happen, but I remember Elon Musk sticking his nib in!Excellent movie. The thing that shocked me was the total number of people involved in the rescue, over 5000. How the locals pulled together, along with divers, medics etc. to rescue the boys was truly inspirational
