Had a pair of DM shoes in the 70s. They're supposed to be for comfort but they didn't let your feet breath, safety but the soles wore smooth. And the uppers crackled. Have they improved since then?

The Mrs bought be a set of DM's for my birthday last year. Haven't had a pair for 25 years. Absolutely love them. Am still really just breaking them in, they'll last me quite some time!

Got my first pair of DMs 3 years ago - when I was pushing 60.
Now the proud owner of 3 pairs and they are the only shoes I now wear other than me work ones.
That’s it now - no need to buy any more shoes for the rest of me life
