There is talk on various platforms about civil disobedience..............

Looting would be a better description...
Maybe well get a bit of Project Mayhem going on with corporate art installations defaced, chain coffee shops set on fire, and petrol station attendants forced to re-evaluate their lives and go back to school?

People were asked to pay £200 poll tax in 1990 (or say £800 for 4 adults in house) and there riots - now its £4200.

I have only just woken up in fairness, but I initially read that as ‘Man Utd told to leave Weymouth after pooing in the street’.

I now fear it is going to be ‘one of those days’ where things keep going wrong because I can’t be bothered to pay attention anymore.

people riding scooters the wrong way up streets & not wearing a skid lid.

protests by sitting down in the middle of the road stopping traffic

standing outside police stations asking the police to stop shooting black men

footballers taking the knee for equality

its that sort of stuff - you know the type of stuff that gets boo'd, or people on forums call for them to be shot with machine guns, or calling them middle-class hooray henrys/workshy/lazy students, or rammed off the road with bull bars etc etc etc - can you hear the jackboots coming over the hill!

I know working people who are genuinely concerned that once the energy cap increases AGAIN in January they will start struggling to live. These are people where both parents work in a household of four. Yet the likes of Centrica are making billions profit in one quarter. Why should a family of four pay potentially £400 per month for energy that cost them about £150 about 14 months ago? It's madness. Someone, somewhere is getting seriously rich off the back of normal people just going about their lives. Where are the billions and billions in profit going?

Perhaps a call to action is needed. There's a campaign called Enough is Enough and the one about stopping paying your energy bill. More joined up action is needed by people, as the government and big business do not give a damn.

“Where are the billions and billions in profit going?” - into the offshore accounts of the uber rich - £4.7 trillion sat in the hands of a few of the elites

And the next PM has just doubled down on her pledge not to offer any further assistance to people struggling to pay their bills, What could possibly go wrong?
This is the same dimwit who has performed a number of other u turns after making daft statements in the last week. She won’t have a choice.
