The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar

Is the most batshit crazy movie I've ever watched in my life. My girlfriend loved it, my attention span went out the window in the first minute and I found it way too fast. If you've watched it, what did you think? It's on Netflix

Its a Roald Dahl book - I remember reading it as a kid. I agree its a bit weird but thats Wes Anderson - personally not a big fan

I think there are a few other Wes Anderson directed Dahl shorts stories coming too

I enjoyed it but I totally get what you mean

I think there's a series of them, I really don't get it. The pace of it was so hard to follow, the way the story is told by the actors was interesting though.

I'm a huge Wes Anderson fan, but I found this one annoying. I'd prefer to see the story acted out rather than narrated word-for-word in a rapid-fire style, and even allowing for Wes' usual quirks, this just didn't work for me at all.

However, I found the other three shorter films better, particularly The Ratcatcher, which was much more watchable and featured an excellent performance from Ralph Fiennes.

I'm loving them. Such a nice lighthearted watch. Nowt wrong with a bit of nonsense every now and again.
