Should Gibson have just dropped a cool £7m on the table and sorted the transfer window out on day one?

LB Robinson
CD Kipre
RB Byrne
MF Williams
MF Morsy
RW Lowe
AM Windass
ST Moore
ST Gelhard

We could have loaned them some players to keep them afloat, maybe chucked in a young up and coming coach to sweeten the deal..

Pears, Bola, Liddle, ONeil, Walker with Woodgate?

The admin seem only concerned about bring as much cash in as possible to cover debt (and their own significant fee) rather than what happens next for Wigan .
Right now it looks like Wigan will drop again before being able to start a fresh .

Looks like it’s all about sorting their own fee. Quick cash devaluing the squad. Dreadful state of affairs.
 
It probably shows the bad state of football when an administration team will make more money in a few months than any football team in the league their working in
 
I actually said similar to a mate a few weeks ago on the lash.

We should have just gone in with a group bid for 4 or 5. They had some pretty decent champo players. I think the fire sale proves that.

They paid a fortune for Lowe (who we were linked with) and sold him for around 1mil. I think we were close with Williams. Warnock said we'd been chatting to Wigan for nearly 4 weeks over him. I think he's the one that maybe 'led us on'.

I read a few Wigan fans raving about Morsy. They thought he would be first out the door as a sellable asset.

You really have to feel sorry for them. To be fair they won yesterday👍. I'd love to see clubs loan them players on the cheap.

Derby and Sheff Web should do out of shame alone. Clubs who got their players for a song should throw some some loan players their way.. especially the premier league clubs.

Ha ha yes they are😂. Imagine my surprise when I went to watch cricket and Wigan are playing. I'm sure I saw Paul cook on TV talking about them. Then realised it was the league Cup.

Unfortunately I didn't have the power of foresight. That said I did think 6mil for Rudy was gonna be a waste of money... Looking 4 yrs into the future.

I hope they do win. I'm hoping they do well as they've been fecked over👍
 
Would Kal Naismith be a decent squad player for us? LB / LCB but fairly versatile also....as we are short of defenders? 28yo, 68 apps over last 2 seasons for them.

We all had our crystal balls out for that one.. now we gotta make do with watching Karanka and Friend give it sexy up the brum and Leeds smashing 3 past Liverpool in the prem.

I think he could do a job El Guapo , ( although not at LCH , he is playing RCH )and so could Tom Pearce LB LCH and the winger Solomon Otabor .
