The weekend beer and music thread

Afternoon all and wishing you all a fantastic weekend... I've just about recovered from my mammoth 26 pub, 15 hour pub crawl last week and chomping at the bit for finishing work today. Heading off to Newcastle tonight for the first time quite a while with a friend though won't be too heavy as I have work in the morning.

Obviously being the Boro, there's very little been happening with new players though we did at very long last actually get a new manager and release a new (very nice IMHO) kit, so it's not all bad.

On that note, let's hope the new manager brings us lots of Glory(ia)... sorry, couldn't resist!

Only ten a.m here so coffee for now, however as it's 4th July, no work today and a perfect excuse to day drink after lunch.

I made a 4th July playlist a few years ago and think the songs on it might go down well here so give it a blast if you fancy something different to listen to:

Some top class tracks in there @goalscrounger

Currently sat in Golser Bar in Vienna, having a rather nice IPA whilst the better half wanders around a(nother) museum. Home tomorrow, don't think I've ever been as warm in my life as yesterday.

Anyway, to "celebrate" knobhead 1 and knobhead 2 getting back together (ie rinse as much cash as possible from coked up, Fred Perry-clad overweight 55 year olds collectively reliving their youth for the next 3 months) here's a track that only has knobhead 2 on it.

Cheers!

Happy Friday everyone, I am meeting up with a couple of buddies tonight where we will spend the evening putting the world to rights.

Additionally, we each have to pick our favourite songs from each decade from the 50’s to the current decade so far, share and discuss why we picked that song. The aim is to then decide who has the best list. The songs can be anything, just so long as it charted in the top 40. The key decider is the reasons why we chose it, so it may not be just any old song we like.

So I will give you one off my list that got to number 9, I received a personal radio dedication one day and then this song was requested to be played. I blubbed.

Hope you enjoy (the artist was brilliant live btw)

The weekend has started off good. A trip to Cookfellas in Guisborough for some tapas and drinks. Just mulling over albums released this year to purchase and this album is definitely going to be one of them. I've now skipped the 'what the hell is this' stage and it's all sounding blinding.
