Evening all, hope you're all about to embark on a fantastic weekend.

Big game tomorrow against Millwall of course, 1 point from 2 very tough games means we need maximum points tomorrow to keep ourselves firmly in the play off picture. Tough game against a team that will likely be giving it their all for the departing Neil Harris and no doubt a fantastic little redheaded footballer will be looking to make an impression on his return to the Riverside. As much as I really like Duncan Watmore, I hope he leaves disappointed and empty-handed tomorrow with a resounding defeat.

Mrs WG and I are in Wooler for the evening, one of our favourite places in the universe. We shall be heading to the local Italian restaurant for a meal and then no doubt a couple of gentle ales to round the evening off.

To kick us off with a killer track here's Layla...

It is our wedding anniversary today and we've been married 38 years. This song was out the year we got married and something we would play on the juke box in the Woodman. I've always liked this song for obvious reasons but @HarryVegas fired his 'Eddie Waring there's no Salvation' craic and spoilt a good record. 🤣 🤣 🤣

If you play it you will clearly hear Eddie Waring get a mention. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Have a good weekend everyone and look forward to seeing all those at the coffee club tomorrow.

Congratulations to you both! No mean feat these days. Have a great weekend.

I
Bumface is still in a Flying Nun Records kind of mood. If you ignore the vocals and the solo this sounds more like an REM song than an actual REM song. Makes me want to pick up the Rickenbacker and jangle like a b@stard.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Sound like the Byrds, its good really like this song. Never heard these before.

Off out for a curry with the family and hopefully a glass of Kingfisher.

This is a tune that people say left wing politicians just say they like- kinda political fashion if you like, I think it's been chosen by a number of famous politicians for desert island disks-

Now I'm never going to get asked to do desert island disks, but if I did, I think I'd add this one as well, but my reasons aren't just political, I really like the song, the way it's sung and I can't say I like much else that he has done, I have tried to listen to other stuff of his, but just can't get away with it.

Any way Joe Hill- Paul Robeson.
