The weekend beer and music thread!

Afternoon folks, hope you're all looking forward to (hopefully) yet another 3 points tomorrow at home to Stoke. They were one of the best teams here last season despite their lowly position at the time and truth be told, we were lucky to scrape a point. Tomorrow is a different day though and given our top class form of late, lets hope we can create plenty of chances as we did against Brum but put a few more of them away and secure a good win.

On tonight's menu is some Budvar, I'm not a huge fan of the American stuff but the original Budvar is a decent drink and so have myself a few bottles in for tonight!

To kick us off with a tune, here's a favourite of mine....

No music now. Was playing Christine and the Queens earlier.

On Wednesday evening I got a takeaway of a Gourmet Burger (with goats cheese and caramelised onion) and a Tijuana Burger (with jalapeños, guacamole and re-fried beans). Both served with home made chips.

The restaurant gave us 2 bottles of the beer in the photo as a gift. Just trying it now. Very tasty.

Yes, that is the temperature outside on our terrace in the background. With the lower one the inside temperature as we had the blinds 3/4 down to keep us cool.

I haven't started drinking yet and are just about to go out in the kitchen to start cooking the evening meal. There is a bottle of Bordeaux open but wit the weather being poor, it might be a Jack Daniel's and ginger whilst I cook.

I lost some music off my iPhone a while back and have been adding today and was listening to Guns N' Roses.

Have a great weekend guys.

Only having one tonight with the big game tomorrow, going to try a bottle of this porter. A mate said it was decent, we’ll see if he knows his onions later.

As for a song that fits in with the theme of winter, I offer you a song I haven’t heard in absolute ages, but was often sung by many artists at the then various Scarborough theatres in the 70’s, one that I absolutely loved when I first heard it performed at a summer show, I can’t remember the singer, but it made me hunt out the single from Bernard Dean’s.

The original artist was a Canadian, Anne Murray and here she is telling the story and singing it live. Have a great weekend one and all another 1-0 for me tomorrow
