I've only had four, mate. I'm just a fairly nocturnal creature and I don't sleep much. I'll go to bed at five and get up again at eight.

Pineapple belongs in a fruit salad, not on top of a hot crust or a slice of pork

I remember being given a bacon sandwich with a ring of pineapple in it - or perhaps the thinnest slice of gammon ever offered to a hungry northerner - I immediately demanded they make me another without the damn fruit. Much muttering and I shudder to think what he did add to it, but still, a guy has his principles.

You see, I quite like pineapple with gammon, but not on pizzas. That's just wrong. And mushrooms on pizzas is even worse, unless they're special mushrooms.

Well folks, despite the usual obstacles I've safely made it home after a night on the glamorous tiles of Blyth. Been quite a canny night really, much merriment, joy and laughs. Oh, and every time I bumped into my 19 year old daughter my wallet became somewhat lighter but that's all part of being lucky enough to be blessed with children. And it truly is a blessing.

Anyhow, on that note where do we all stand on this? It's emotional claptrap yet never ceases to capture exactly how I feel about Mrs WG. I may be an ar$ehole and a gob$hite but God knows I'm a lucky one.

Not as unintentionally hilarious as that Delgados video I posted. Even the band themselves admit that that was crap. It is a great song though, and without The Delgados we wouldn't have had Chemikal Underground Records and then the world would be even sh*tter than it already is.
