* The Unofficial "Official" West Brom v Boro [10/24] Match-Day Thread *

From their forum:

"
Best side I’ve seen this season Boro, against us.

Play some nice football, not scared of the ball, dangerous in attack

Got to be careful here, but we can beat these, we just need some changes"

We will finish above these this season - they are pretty ordinary tbh
I will be very surprised if we don’t win this.
Wouldn't describe them as ordinary in this league, they may not be the best side in the league, that will reveal itself over time, but they're definitely at the upper end of the lot.

Another half where we were objectively the better team in my eyes (and the eyes of the sky commentator), but both teams had chances.

Missed the best chance, but they also missed a great chance.

Think Azaz looks most likely to create something - passing has been great to Lath on a few occasions who has not taken a good first touch. Doak struggling against their left back after looking dangerous early, but to be expected for a young lad.

Ayling, Morris, and Hackney all doing good and bad things.

More of the same please, but with Lath burying one.
Doak went into his shell a bit after that awful tackle. He knew what he was doing.

Should be 3.1 up at half time. Feels like 2 points dropped if we draw. Hope it is not a game of two halves. All their problems are coming from their right.

Borges blowing out of his aris on their late attack . Mcgree is going inside and Azaz is not covering him leaving the usual gaping hole at left back where Borges is getting sucked forward . Let Mcgree do the attacking , Borges needs to concentrate on his left back role.
Needs addressing IMO
And Ayling is playing poorly.
Edit - this got addressed second half .

It won’t last
Not a chance, they don't have strength in depth enough.

As soon as the usual 7 or 8 injuries inevitably bite in early winter I'd expect them to take a marked drop.

Whereas our squad size will actually stay the same due to lads still coming back like new signings.

Borges is looking strong. Loads of space there to explore but it seems a tactic to ignore him.

Playing some lovely stuff in 4/5's of the pitch...looks ominous in typical Boro style
