That was horrible to watch, they were superb at pressing us but our passing should never have been that bad. Even when we tried to play balls into the advanced players they weren't switched on enough and Stoke players would nip in front of them.

At this stage of the season the extra day off from a home game matters, I was concerned Stoke would be fresher today and I think it showed.

I enjoyed that.

But we werent outplayed by any means.
We had the chances to have won that.

good point against a team bang in form can't win them all ffs and only 3 points behind shef utd now lets see how they and luton do tomorrow could still be a very good point

Too many balls played centrally, they picked us off too many times with our back to goal. We needed a few out wide behind them to stretch them. We've got loads of pace, give them something to think about when they're pressing so high.

Nerves, complacency, tiredness? Probably just met a good team on a bad night and in the end that point could be very important. Many times in the past we would have lost that 3 -1. Few days to reflect and go again Saturday. Hopefully the Mackems do us a favour tomorrow and we still go second as we go into the international break. Come on Boro - keep the faith

Just remember, our off days under Carrick are followed by a winning run. Tonight was definitely an off day, but we didn't lose.
