The unofficial "Official" Satda` "time-for-a-pint-before-the-game" Match Thread v Cardiff City.

This is about the 8th week running where I feel that if we had the opposition CF we would have won.....and that's inspite of their forwards not having a kick really.

Greenshoots there.

Betinelli 6 - one good save, din't even move for the goal, not sure he could have reached it though
Dijksteel 7 - steady, saw of Josh Murphy who barely had a kick
Hall 7 - handled Moore well, presence at attacking corners....should have put more pressure on Morrison for their goal
Fry 7 - one soft backpass, other than handled their attack with ease
Bola 7 - another class performance
McNair 7 - got the equaliser, decent passing, want him to drive with the ball a bit more often and be more aggressive when defending in the air, particularly from long throws!
Howson 7 - far better than last week
Tav 8.5 - Showed what we have missed, a midfielder that moves the ball quickly, that can play little clever balls around the corner and blind passes, cardiff struggled to contain him
NML 6 - steady, his best performance so far, but other than winning corners wasn't a threat
Watmore 7 - flashes of danger from him, worked hard
Britt 4 - anonymous, again
Johnson 7 - always makes a difference from the bench
Kebano 8 - close to motm in 20 minutes from the bench. Such a good touch and loves to face his man up, great play for the goal
Akpom 7 - worked hard, won a header he has no right to win, scuffed the header for the goal, but was in the right place and McNair put it in
Spence 6 - maybe slowly starting to find a little form again.

Said on a thread the other day he's like an all-rounder in cricket. Allows you to pick an extra defender or an extra attacker without losing too much one way or another. You can just stick him in anywhere in the midfield.

Even if things aren't going for him his work rate makes a big difference anyway. Must be a pain the **** to play against.
 
I hope we never see britt in a boro shirt again.
He's not exactly hard working at the best of times so when he knows he's going at the end of the season we can't afford to have him going through the motions.

Akpom just happened to he on the pitch when McNair scored after he failed to convert
No way does he deserve 7
I have stated several times I would prefer neither him nor Britt to be in the 20 for us any more
 
How frustrating. Put a proper centre forward in the team and we would be top six.
Thought Spence was better when came on and Akpom got an assist😁.
Maybe getting Bolasie back will be missing link.
 
Kebano looked lively, glad to see Tavernier back, but I'm not sure I'd say anyone who started played well.

I suppose Bettinelli didn't make any mistakes and did well in a number of moments.

We fully deserved a draw, but that's more because Cardiff were dreadful than we were good.
 
Akpom hasn't been the best and is short of confidence, but at least he puts in a shift. I hope we never see Britt in a Boro shirt again....I think Warnock might feel similarly because he didn't give him the arm band and hooked him for a fella he said he wouldn't buy again yesterday😂

The commentators were saying maybe offside but it all seems a bit of a mystery - it’s funny but when points can make the difference between survival and relegation it’s not so funny if you are a Brighton fan.

I didn't say Cardiff are dreadful, I said they were dreadful.

They were completely rubbish today.

I'll give our defence credit for limiting them almost completely, but then they've let themselves down hugely on the conceded goal.
