* The Unofficial "Official" Matchday Thread. Boro v Peterborough. Saturday 16th October *

I just can’t see Warnock starting him.
I thought thats what you meant.(y)

I have the same doubt about Warnock`s ability to be consistent and keep the lad on the start sheet.

Yesterday had little to do with Warnock and his tactics:
He had little choice or room for manouvre.
Im glad.

Yes, the team were a bit lop-sided and we werent brilliant, but seeing Peyero given a chance and Josh coming off the bench.

There were some good signs, but if we go back to Warnocks formulaic classic hoof-ball and defend - we arent going to change.

Maybe its a bit pessimistic - but calling out players in public, deflecting legitimate criticism and blaming refs, has worn out.
Its a Manager who needs to step aside and give someone else the opportunity to get a better tune out of those players.
Just like Cooper has done at Forest (y)

Rooney has a scratch side of old men, kids and journeymen - and, considering the state Derby are in, has done a damn good job.
If you take off the 12 point deduction: Derby would be on the same points as us!

That`s not good enough for Middlesbrough.

A month ago we played Forest who were on their arz.
Now they are a point behind us.
They have won four out of the last 5 with Steve Cooper in charge.

Djed Spence is ripping it up - consistently - and Trees fans are thanking us for gifting them such a "talented" player.

Why? [Thats a general question to anyone].

I think the players won yesterday in spite of Warnock, not because of him.
