* The Unofficial "Official" Match-day Bluebirds v Boro Thread*

Credit to the defence who weathered an unbelievable storm, albeit for just a few minutes, at a crucial point of the game. Had they equalised, it was anyone's game as we've been known to crumble in those situations. Great save from Lumley, bodies on the line from everyone else, we saw out the dangerous period and took back control. Another clean sheet.

First up great win second great win.

Oh yeah and thirdly my world beating algorithm has got both boro games this week correct when both games should have had way more goals.

Good result, shame we haven't upped our GD over the last few games.

There may be some interesting selection headaches coming up if we keep this run going when Fry, Hall, Dijksteel and Bola are fit.

I prefer Howson at the back than in midfield TBH, and you can't really drop Bamba can you?

Does McNair get the nod at centre mid over Crooks or Payero? Not for me!

chuffed for payero today, he played really well second half, BAmbo stood strong when Cardiff came at us at the start of the second half and was MotM for me.

Lumley - 8 - two great saves
Howson 8 - brilliant maurading forward from FB
Bamba - 9 - Imperious
McNair - 7 - never really put under pressure, not as involved goign forward as the last 2 games, but played steady
Peltier - 7 - steady as a rock
Tav - 7 - improveent from last week, but more to come
Crooks - 8 - wroked his socks off
Payero - 8.5 - Improved on the last game, which was an improvement on the previous game, which was an improvement on the previous game. He'll be the new Maradonna if he improves each of the next 5 games
Hernandez - 6 - periphery today, but put the effort in
Ikpeazu - 6- was manhandled all game, but made poor decisions today
Sporar - 7 - would have been 8 but he didn't get the passes his movement deserved
Jones - 7- Had their RB on toast, and he should have had a second yellow
Watmore -7 - unlucky not to be going home with another goal

Warnock - 8 - got the tactics right from the off, out warnocked McCarthy. Changed things tactically, getting Howson further forward, when Cardiff went through a 15 minute spell.

Team performance - 8 - 2-0 away win is never easy, but we made it look easy today

3 2-0’s in a row, thoughts and prayers with those who want him gone
I wanted him gone and I don't mind saying it. In fact, I still think he warranted being gone in the international window. That said, I can't argue at all with how things have gone since and 3 wins on the trot, players starting to find their feet and cement themselves in the starting eleven is great to see.

Long may this continue and Warnock deserves a lot of credit for the last 3 games.

Some great performances today. Payero looks like he could be a real player, gets more impressive every game. Sporar is a joy to watch his runs are superb and if some of our players got their heads up and spotted his runs he would get 20 goals this season. Thought Ikpenzu was superb today - a real handful and not just a big roughhouse, a couple of real pieces of quality from him today. Thought back four were excellent, Howson excellent McNair fantastic Bamba an inspiration but don’t forget Peltier who was top draw. Love Crooks, just a proper footballer and Lumley looking very tidy when needed. Take a bow lads - very good today

Really liking the look of Payero, was great today.
I think one of the things I like most is how strong he is, he's really happy to receive the ball marked and use his strength and technique to hold their player off whilst moving the play on. His vision and crossing is good too. Only going to get better the more he plays.

Good performance against a very poor team.

Lots of good performances, all the back 4, thought Howson had a great game again and a word for Uche. Yes he makes the wrong decision a lot of the time but his hold up play and strength was the best I’ve seen from a “big lad” up front in a while.

Ipeazu 6? Thought he looked brilliant, better holding the ball up and laying it off than going for goal, mind.

What was said?
Happy to be there, joked about the gaffa and never having worked with anyone like him, a little quip about statistically a goal and assist was a good game for him, how good Sol was in the dressing room (yep, forgot that, after pretending not to know who he was :)), then teased Bamba about getting MoM.
