* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Swansea Match-of-the-Day Thread *

I think Carrick will be relatively calm, we’re controlling the game. Just need to pull the trigger and be a bit calmer infront of goal.

Archer hasn’t hit his usual very high standards the last few games for me. Feels like he needs a goal to get him flying again

That was frustrating. You can see why Swansea concede so often.

Really poor decision making when we get in good positions. Need to step it up second half.

We seem to be picking the wrong final pass too much today. I’d like to see McGree and Ramsey switch sides.

Wouldn’t be against Forss coming on as we need someone to actually shoot when they’re in a decent position

Started so well which shows how weak they are when we pressure them.. but i'm concerned about our lack of threat from set pieces, been like this all season! We rarely make use of set pieces.

Positive how calm and composed we are but it translates as trying to score the perfect goal and walking it in.. hope i eat my words and the teams composure means they will breakthrough in the second half.

I'd get Riley off corners his delivery has been overhit 99% of the time so far. Forss and Smith have a much better understanding on the Right, get Forss on for me, and keep plugging away, they will fall to pieces if we score an early goal.

Played well there, just conceded to a freak goal and weren't quite ourselves in the final 3rd. Keep doing what we do and we should break them down, they definitely weren't in our faces for the last 20 minutes of that half like they were before that.

Just don't concede early 2nd half like we did at West Brom.
Thought it was 2-0 at ht there

The benefit of it being 3am here is that I've already dreamt we win this 2-1 with a chuba pen and late Archer winner. Oh, and Sheffield United lose 2-3 but they were playing Rotherham!

Plenty of time to haul this one back

Swansea are defending well after a shaky start. I thought we'd beat them easily after the first few minutes but the goal lifted them and they've looked comfortable since.

For me we've been a little too ponderous, ball not moved fast enough nor switched often enough.

Corners are definately not our strong point we very rarely look like troubling a team from a set piece yet we win so many, it would be nice to see some clever routines thought up as heading doesnt seem to be a big strength within the sqaud!
Not sure it's headers we're no good at - none of our players are 10ft tall.

We need players to take more responsibility to get shots off rather than trying to find the perfect pass, some players seem far too reluctant to shoot on sight, for all our possession, we haven’t really created many clear cut chances.

McNair at the back weakens us defensively, shame Fry was poorly.
