We'll take the 3 points, of course. But we weren't great in that second half. They carved us open too easily, but tonight we got the last ditch blocks and tackles in, which made a difference. As did the substitutions to harass Birminghams back line and hold up play.

Apart from the cross at the end we actually looked fairly solid once Lenihan came on. Not saying it had anything to do with him necessarily but they were getting in some really dangerous positions before that.

Hopefully the players get a bit of confidence from that.

It was the substitution I think. Bola as wingback helped out at the back which giles doesn't do very effectively.

Forss was very good when he came on. Bola and Fry were good, Steffen played well, a clean sheet, another goal for Akpom, a vital win and three points. Can’t really argue with Leo’s subs either, though I thought Hackney was unlucky to be taken off so early.

Job done. We have to keep that level of commitment and determination going now.

Good result, but still the same problems (silly mistakes and lack of composure playing from the back).

Hopefully it ends up as a confidence booster.

Hackneys energy in the middle helped, and could actually tell he was on the pitch, unlike with Mowatt.

Will have been easier for Birmingham to set up, with Jones out, as we only ended up with a one sided threat (Giles). They were happy for us to have it on the right, but we didn’t do much with it.

Steffen man of the match for me, he couldn’t have played any better 👌 not many saves to make, but great on crosses, handling and sweeping up.

What a difference a day makes.
Well a little more than a day! the fight was there the passion was back. We are not there yet but at least the mindset is back! We need to build on that. We can win games and should have won a lot more. There is more to Wilders sacking than meets the eye !!!!
