Boro v Blackpool -18th September 2021

Life is difficult at the moment
Really could have done with something today
Its so hard to be optimistic.
When that first goal went in I thought this could be something
But no
We get beat 2-1.
😫

well that was a typical boro game.

This isn't a reaction to that one game, it's a reaction to this calendar year. Our manager is tactically inept, useless, archaic, an embarrassment. Pack your things and sod off back to Cornwall, I knew it would end like this when we signed him on. Save us, give a glimmer of hope that we might improve, but then go backwards.

You can see the frustration on Sporar’s face.
Yup, there was a thing last season with the amount of times our strikers touch the ball in comparison to other teams and it's just pathetic. Sporar looks like he could be the best striker we've had since we came back down and he's being starved of the ball.

We are surrendering possession to the opposition when we finally have a set of players that should be dominating the ball, we should be the team that has 60% possession now against sides like Blackpool, we should be having plenty of shots at goal, I think we had 1 on target at home to a side that's conceded 11 in 7 games.

It's Warnock's last season most likely and we clearly aren't going up so there isn't any point in this continuing anymore, get a manager in that suits the players we have and build for next season if we can't push the playoffs this year.

Warnock should go

I don’t blame him fully though, the responsibility lies with the club, sitting there week after week thinking the club is going anywhere with this manager.

Just speaks volume about the lack of ambition of a club that is treading water and accepting it

Passing accuracy 64%

There is the problem has been for years. We dont have good footballers. 1 nil up. passing accuracy should be far higher we should be pulling them around.
We should but it isn't Warnocks philosophy which is get the ball forward early but that ultimately leads to a loss of possession.

The only good thing to come out of that game, is that Payero looks ready to start playing more of a role.

I think that is one thing I can praise Warnock for, Payero looks a completely different player there compared to what he did the first few games where he clearly wasn't ready.

He looked confident and looked like he knew what he was doing, in those other appearances he looked lost and unsure of himself, trying to do too much at times.

Complete lack of heart and movement all game, even 1-0 up we didn’t even try to fight for the ball back all over the pitch. We have some good players but we are nowhere near being a good team.

This is the polar opposite of a warnock team at the moment! If the club wants to go in this direction they need a manager who will set them up the right way.

I'm sure the search is underway.

Didn't see it, but BBC text seems to say, over and over again, 'through ball to Sporar - offside'. Should we have tried harder to be onside, or is else they aren't getting anything from the linesmen, try plan B?
