To counter that

Look what we have spent in the last 2 years compared to them !

Due to a car crash I missed a fair bit of the game but the 20-30mins I saw the contrast between the 2 teams was marked. I’m sorry but whenever we lost the ball we were cut through easily in a couple of passes and they were onto our back line easily and we had players in no shape whatsoever scrambling about getting back. Sunderland on the other hand looked organised and structured with a plan of how to play with snd without the ball.
Yeah, because we were too compact, there were blokes stood free, and players like Le Fee and Roberts will pick a pass out if there is nobody stood near them giving them pressure.

We just gave the ball away far too cheaply but didn’t get out fast enough to nullify the danger. I mentioned this after about 20-30 minutes, there was a massive gap, especially between our wide defenders and wide attackers. For the first half we still had the much better chances. 3-0 at HT would have been fairer at the break than 1-1.

Have you never walked away from a game and thought we played well at times there and that was a good game?

It was fine margins and lady luck was against us.

Sunderland played us at the right time with players coming in and going out. We missed Doak running at Sunderland, who would have caused them all kinds of trouble, we never had a centre forward on the pitch and played two debutants and a third as sub out of position.

Truthfully, other than not getting the point we deserved, I can see positives in that game.

Maybe I should apologise to you for not being negative.
Came to see what others thought, and I'm glad to see there's people on the same wave length as me with this one. I saw patches of it all coming together, and if we can play like that more regularly, I think we will do pretty well.

There is nothing you can do about two of them goals, that is just luck going against you.
I don't agree to be honest. The 2 goals I'm assuming you are referring to, the first and the third, could have been stopped at source at RB.

Le Fee had acres of space for both of them.

Then the first one Hackney defended the initial shot well only for us to lose possession again instantly in a bad area.

The second one, Giles had a difficult job but there were other places he could have kicked that other than the back of our own net.

To say they are just unlucky and we couldn't do anything about them is just glossing over the issues.

The sky feels like it’s falling tonight. We’ve had a nice couple of days signing new players. But after a loss to Sunderland it feels bad. Especially with the same mistakes happening. We need time to bed these players in and get some of our swagger back. Shame there isn’t an international break.

@Kepler442b I've been quoted and quoted on here and had to defend that opinion. When I saw you had quoted me thought 'Oh ferk' here we go again.

It will click and someone will get a battering soon.

To Sunderland? Look how much we’ve been forced to sell compared to them
Exactly, when LL goes we’re in profit, and far better than what we started with. That’s a miracle to be fair.

Biggest problem is individual mistakes from players who are meant to not be making these mistakes as often.

Today was also about a lot of bad finishing from a striker who’s not started for a year, and who never played up front the year before that, and some really bad luck.

They’re no mugs like, Le Fee is good enough for the prem, easily, god knows how they got him.
