The Tyre Extinguishers

have hit Bristol, Clifton. 90 Chelsea tractors in one evening. Legitimate targets? Legitimate action.
Local Tory press don't like it.

Just flying back home today. Been working in Avonmouth all week but didn't hear anything about it.

Damage to personal property is never justified…

but then the argument is ‘how much damage are these vehicles doing to the planet….?’

part of an international network, apparently, began operations this March. These tractors line the roads in Clifton, Bristol (that is the posh part, the Chelsea bit of Bristol). I often wonder why people have them in congested cities, and whether they should be mass produced. Why are cars a status symbol when the planet is burning??

All the talk is about how they effect climate change, but there is a different environmental damage in just having taller cars lining the streets. You can't see across the street, great for thieves. You can see the difference when a street is cleared for roadworks or arborists.
It's like those medieval towns in Tuscany where everbody built a tower so they could look down on their neighbours. For nearly all, it was a self-defeating exercise.

Nevertheless I don't support vandalism. Sadly it will be case of waiting until someone gets killed.

I have an SUV. Went for my first due to back problems making it harder to get in and out of my car.
If they want to let down my tyres they will have to accept what happens if they are caught.

Last I read about their activities in Manchester they'd let down the tyres on an electric vehicle and attacked a Skoda Yeti, hardly qualifies as a Chelsea tractor.
