The two Euro finals

Four English teams in the two finals. Seems very likely to happen.

How very dull. As an impartial, there's no way I'll be watching either.
But it must be pretty disappointing for the supporters of the four teams to see just yet another Prem League game

I’m not a fan of these clubs at all but I don’t know if I’d call it dull. They’ll both be interesting games (if Arsenal do get there) and having Real Madrid/PSG there instead wouldn't have made it any more endearing imho.

Let’s hope if nothing else it’s good experience for Mount/Foden etc going into the Euros.

I get that, but for me I have no interest in watching another couple of Prem teams playing yet another game. City are the best team, Chelsea might win. Cagey

However I am looking forward the the Euro's

It isn't just another PL game though, it's the final of a major competition. You really think these fans are disappointed to see their team on the verge of lifting silverware because it happens to be against a club they've already played this season? I certainly didn't get that impression from Man U fans in 2008 or the Scousers in 2019.

Twice in three years if it happens, is it the strength of the Premier League or a sign that time is almost up for stars like Messi / Ronaldo
Having watched PSG spit their dummies out last night, I think the strength of the Premier League is a large part of the European success.

One of the commentators said that PSG are just not used to losing. They didn't know how to handle being second best.

Real Madrid made more of a fist of it tonight but even then they were nearly undone a few times before the second goal came. None of it was particularly spectacular from Chelsea - just consistent movement and being ready on the break. Had they taken their chances Chelsea could easily have had five tonight.

EPL teams just keep on getting stronger — that means repetitive outcomes on most finals— sooner or later it’ll be boring if it ain’t already.

That's slightly lazy commentary as PSG have lost 8 league games this season and another 5 in the Champions League. They are not even top of their league at the moment.

I wouldn't call it dull if it happens. The teams involved in the finals have earned their place. It was interesting though that Rio Ferdinand said on Tuesday night that Man City players will probably prefer Real Madrid, as an all English final adds extra pressure.

I’m really looking forward to it and so is my son who likes Cite. I fancy Chelsea in the final, they are so compact and strong defensively. Although having lived next to Maine Road and been to a few matches in the Eighties have always had a soft spot for Cite.

You’ve failed as a father

I would love city to win. If only to shut the scousers up. They really can't stand teams out spending them and winning more trophies.

The likes of Liverpool and UTD fans are quick to hammer City and Chelsea about buying titles and Cups. Yet they consistently bought the best players during their 80s and 90s dominance.

It wasn't that long ago that UTD had Ferdinand (most expensive CB in Europe) and Rooney (most expensive teenager) etc. They even bought the best players during the class of 92 spell.

They spent 80mil on Maguire and 90mil on Pogba.... They moan on twitter like they are doing it on a budget😂. They have two keepers pulling in 500k a week between them.

The point being they can't handle that the big 4 is now the big 6 (used loosely). Also not sure Arsenal can be in this anymore.

The Thursday night Cup of UTD v Arsenal? Won't watch that. No interest.

Then again I'll only watch the champions league if its free to air again on YouTube.

Europe goes through cycles, currently England turn to be at the top
Exactly. England can't claim to be best when Real Madrid won three in a row only recently. In fact, since 2012 I think England has only two winners (Liverpool and Chelsea). England had one winner in the 90's. Two in the 2000's. Hardly a dominant performance of the Champions League.

They might not be able to claim to have the best team, but 5 of the last 8 finalists have been English.

England's league is dominant right now, even if one team isn't.

I think that’s true. City losing to Real, and Zidane lifting it for the 4th time, isn’t too hard to stomach.

Lose to Chelsea and it’s a bit embarrassing when we all know they’re a much better side.

I've just read fans and pundits want to play it at Wembley to avoid travel as turkey still rife with covid.

It's the play off final weekend. So Chelsea and City fans are saying move it. Typical prem 'big club' attitude😕

That said playing both in England would make sense if arsenal get through.

I was thinking this myself . But then if it does get moved to Wembley there’ll be hordes of fans landing in its vicinity and footy fans didn’t exactly endear themselves to the police last week who’ll have a big say
