The transfer window is the same for everyone

So why are we annually seen to endure protracted...endless fruitless pursuits of " marquee" signings.?? Why is it??

I know we were spoilt with rav..viduka..hasselbaink ...yakubu...but
I am underwhelmed and to be honest feeling flat sporting wise after yesterday
Crooks looked decent ...forss could come good...
But man we are a few signings away from automatic promotion

Just seems such a flat start to a season that truly promised so much

I also don't like feeding from the scraps of the premiership like grateful little servants
Football seems a little broken that the pyramid is soooooo dictating how clubs operate

Let's hope that yesterday was an eye opener for sir steve gibbo and kieran Scott and that they may be a little more pushy in the market? Who knows ...they may have pushed as hard as they can already

Let's see

I like the stat about Norwich only winning one of their first 4 before going onto storm the league

Come on boro...let's gel and use qpr as our springboard for success

Because we don’t follow clubs as intently as we follow Boro so aren’t really aware of those clubs’ being involved in their own transfers ‘chains’ or how and why deals they’re trying to do are taking a long time.

Look around the Championship, barely anyone is anywhere near finished in the market. As usual, almost everything depends on the league above. Once they start letting players out you’ll see movement further down and across the board.

I would also say we need to remember we’ve already added five players and have one more apparently just about done. This is before the Premier League clubs have really started moving players out. This window being open so long into the season is causing loads of issues, for everyone. Even those teams in our division with settled squads(two of whom we’ve played already, with another to come next Sunday).

But five senior players in, half a team, is a lot of business already completed. I just think we’ll have to accept a few patchy performances and results until our business is finished and we can get ourselves going.

Clubs us the opportunity of a ridiculously long open window to get more for a player - all this stops if players have to be signed before a ball is kicked. I just think is madness to expect managers to still be scratting around for players well into the season

We've added 5, but more than 5 have left.
Got to hope we can pick up some points in the 5/6 games before deadline day
