Imagine being told you couldn't have your favourite players name because of "licensing issues". You've paid £80+, you should be allowed whoever you want. FB_IMG_1753903645219.jpg

Does this mean people were usually getting those names and numbers on current shirts? That's a bit weird. It would be like putting Drogba on a new Chelsea shirt or Lineker on a Spurs one.
 
Those players (and their lawyers) will own the trademark/image rights for those players. Man Utd would love to be able to sell those player's names but they won't be allowed.

I think it's more an indication of how poor the current crop of Utd players are that they have no current players that fans want on their shirts.
