The Smell of Water - Local Folklore/History Films

I think Rob posted this as part of the Local History Month promotions, but just in case... Teesside folklore and history-lover Gavin Parry and I have teamed up to make a little series of short films about the strange stories attached to the North York Moors. Thought it might interest a few here... Gavin is a brilliantly passionate and knowledgeable bloke, and his Smell of Water blog is terrific. We used to do a weekly slot on BBC Tees on the Evening Show, and it's been lovely to get back together with him for this.

There are going to be five films in total, and the first one sees us heading to St Hilda's Church in Danby on the trail of its 19th century folklore-loving vicar, Canon John Atkinson. It's here... great soundtrack as well from Boro's own Ivan The Tolerable.
