The Riverside

It would’ve been interesting if the NHS had announced that, maybe the man seemingly airbrushed from our history might have had his wish..

“Shareholder Henry Moszkowicz and then chairman Colin Henderson wanted to redevelop Ayresome as an all-seater.

In contrast, Steve Gibson believed that with the surrounding area almost impossible to develop beyond a 20,000 capacity, such a move would lock Boro into inescapable terminal mediocrity.

Gibson won the day, seized control and prepared to bankroll a radical programme to reshape the entire club.”

Looking at that impression we could still do that bit of landscaping. Would mean an end to the car park behind the north and south stands but sure it would look ten times better. I guess Shepherdson Way was built as the railway couldn't be lowered or altered. That road could be made so much more developed on the sides, underneath and on top making it an impressive approach to the stadium. Instead it looks like what it is a drab highways bridge that could be anywhere in the UK. Certainly hope the ski centre might make the dock slightly more involved.
