We already have a replacement monarch, Charles is already King, there is no gap, it's already technically his majesties government, there are no wheels stopped other than by choice. Constitutionally thats the facts, emotionally many people will of course feel different. If that is so then why did both boris snd truss fly to balmoral.
She is head of state. We are a monarchy.
It’s HM GOVT.
well said. My position is very clear, but I'm not going to goad people, or get into petty bickering with those that feel saddened by this, that is their right to feel that way, and at the same time I expect that they understand that I'm not duty bound to feel the same. Emotions are high, everyone needs to take a deep breath and give each other a bit of space, on both sides. I'm not commenting on facebook, even when a friend tried to goad me into it on his wall. There are some on this post on both sides of the fence showing themselves up.
Personally, I think we should be respectful of each others different views and respectful of each other. Petty bickering and name calling is uncalled for and distasteful.
Our money will change as well
There was George VI coinage around for donkey's years after he died. Our money will change as well
Sorry I mean the new ones. There was George VI coinage around for donkey's years after he died.

It will be more than a couplesurely going to take a couple of years for circulation to be replaced?
think it will be a lot quicker than in the past as we are moving more towards a plastic society than a coin and paper one. But yeah probably more than a couple of years. It will be more than a couple
Yes I said on another thread her time spanned winston Churchill to liz truss only a few days ago. From 1966 moon landing met jfk etc amazing the history she lived throughAnyone who said this is not a profound world event is very wrong. Russia has already expressed its condolences for someone they clearly respect.
My Mrs has just read a post from Stevie Nicks (random I know) but a very deeply respectful message.
The world over has been affected (I know someone will pop up with Russia and Stevie Nicks is not the world), but its quite humbling to see how revered she is across the world, especially when as a nation we are currently a laughing stock.
I think I started to like her when she did the Daniel Craig thing for the Olympics and I've only just seen the Paddington bear sketch. Watching the footage of what she has done in her life is truly inspiring. What an amazing lady.
I don't believe in him / her, but God save the Queen.
